As the person who was privileged to supervise Conor's study I couldn't agree more. It is an excellent piece of scholarship - original, insightful & based on a commitment to the importance of the subject and the profession. Definitely worth a read. #educationalresearch

I have a lot of sympathy for the challenges faced by the Irish language & Irish speakers but its presentation as a plucky insurgent language is absurd given,for example,its official status & mandatory presence in the school curriculum.Perhaps an honest review of why it isn’t used might be timely?
