After more than 15 years of active use I decided to take a break from Instagram a couple weeks ago. Since then my daily screen time has dropped by more than half. I’m still at several hours a day, but that’s mostly work stuff and reading news articles from subscription sites.

Troops are going to be deployed to Portland, OR. Unbelievable. Was just there last weekend. This is ridiculous.

So glad I’m old enough to have grown up in an era before mobile phones. Nearly impossible to live without one now, but goddamn I wax nostalgic for those days when you just had to be bored, didn’t know if your friends would actually be at the bar, and you weren’t on call 24/7. Serenity now!!!
