More fire horses for Lunar New Year. These two are from the Aria Hotel/Casino in Las Vegas.

The EV charging station at my local library had to be cordoned off with yellow tape because it caught fire and burned to a crisp.

Score one for cars powered by cremated dinosaurs.
We have one Electric Vehicle charging station in the parking lot of my local library, and this is a picture of it in its current state: blackened, charred, melted, surrounded by yellow caution-tape. Good job, *science*.

Framework now goes up over twenty stories, the lower ten of which have had blue reflective glass installed on the outside. Its distinctive guitar shape is starting to show, with the lower bout tucking into the waist. The upper bout, presumably the next twenty stories, hasn't been built yet. You can't see them from this side, but if you approach the building from the south side (from Caesar's palace) the guitar's frets are also taking shape, but as of yet unfinished. The golden glass windows of the lower half of The Mirage are missing now, and much of the framework of the old building is also visible.

Optimus Prime looking festive today. Hope somebody put an Allspark under the tree for him.
A six-foot statue of Optimus Prime from the Transformers cartoon (actually, I'm pretty sure this particular one is the movie version) with a couple of strands of rainbow Christmas lights draped all over him. This particular display is in the walkway linking the Horseshoe and Paris casinos in Las Vegas. Merry Christmas!

Christmas decorations going up all over the city this week. Vegas getting into the holiday spirit.
A large Christmas tree in the Linq Promenade, built on a platform over the fountains. This one is very colorful. The Bellagio Conservatory Christmas display. Hanging ornaments from the ceiling, multiple Christmas trees chock full of lights and a life-size gingerbread house. There's also an enormous train, rocking horse and nutcracker on display, but they aren't captured in the photo. The Bellagio is always worth a visit if you're in town. The lobby at the Park MGM has a very tasteful pink/white/gold theme for their tree and wreaths. The Sphere was running an animation this morning where it was unwrapped like a Christmas gift, wrapping paper torn away to reveal yet another layer. Fun to watch. This particular look is blue with red and yellow presents, but there were multiple patterns they tore through.
