i never understood how in the secular/protestant world "12 days of christmas" became a countdown rather than the length of the nativity feast because 1. the phrasing doesn't make sense when that's what it means and 2. why would you shorten the celebration. who doesn't want more christmas

i always said i wanted to make a bluesky android client built with jetpack compose as a way to get back in the native android devleopment groove but it turns out someone already did that. heron by @tunji.dev is super slick, still needs some kinks ironed out but it's headed in a good direction.

when i try a new app and it uses inter instead of the system default font and ionicons instead of the vendor-given symbols that tim cook intended
