Don't say you're an "aspiring game developer". I've seen this a lot and it's just impostor syndrome. 😶‍🌫️

You've either made/contributed to games, which makes you a game developer. Or you haven't. The only way you'd be an "aspiring game developer" is if you want to make games but haven't yet tried it.

So 2024 just ended and I wanted to put some thoughts out there on this last year and 2025. Safe to say the last year did not go how I expected it to go. There were some tough times and big changes coming my way. Thankfully everything went well and I think I made the best of it!

Glad to see this released to the public finally! 😄 I spent 18 months working on the bots and it was really fun. One small detail I really liked was adding the kill emoji reactions to bots. I don't know if many people will take a look at them but here's 1 min of me struggling against them today

Sad to see this, though not entirely unexpected. I've got to say I had a great time working on this game and it taught me a lot! Sad to see that some of the things I worked on might never make it into the hands of the players. There was so much potential... 😔

This seems like an interesting project to follow for Godot users that might want a bit more performance in some key scripts. Easy to use C++ scripting within! Makes adding C++ code almost as easy as GDScript. I'm definitely trying it when I have time

The ice gun and the blob enemy actually look incredibly fun to play with
On HL2 new documentary they show Episode 3 footage for the first time of what they were working on, including an ice gun and a blob type that could absorb enemies and was later used as the paint in Portal 2.

Found this game for cheap while here in England and it looked interesting. Love the classic horror artstyle. Has anyone played it before?
