AND WE STILL DON’T HAVE GODDAMN SIDEWALKS
#OnThisDay in 1954, Seattle annexed the area north of N 85th Street to N 145th Street. historylink.org/File/7514

Everything we accepted being done in places like Palestine will be done again and again elsewhere until we stop accepting it anywhere.

We can't carve out exceptions where human rights don't apply and expect human rights to still apply everywhere else.

hey so like sports are cool and all if thats your thing, but i would like my mayor to make a statement against the war crimes our country committed today before she cheers on our football team
💙💚 Seattle, this one felt GOOD. 💚💙

Huge congratulations to the Seattle Seahawks on an absolutely dominating win and locking up the #1 seed.

YOUR CITY will be loud. The 12s are ready. We are all in. Let’s bring that energy all the way through the playoffs.

Go Hawks! 💙💚

i towed a kayak 120 miles from seattle to bellingham for a relay race with a car-free team!

hey @seattledot.bsky.social your brand new crosswalk at harvard and olive is wearing off. i might say that it “creates a false sense of safety” for pedestrians. just seconds after taking this photo, the person in the white jacket was almost hit by a driver while crossing the street

looking forward to car-free 1st and 5th avenues! jk lol we know that’s never happening so what the heck is this matrix even trying to say
Looking forward to the Wilson Administration getting a crack at the draft Downtown Seattle regional center plan. As it stands right now, we're apparently only planning on public transit having priority on one single street downtown, which is wild.

i’m far from the first person to notice this but it’s wild to see just how brown elliott bay is from river runoff
December 19, 2025 at 9:11 PM
why does sound transit use the SLOWEST ELEVATORS KNOWN TO MANKIND?! i just missed a train cause the escalator was broken and the elevator is so goddamn slow and now im waiting at a noisy freeway station for 15 minutes until the next train and im not feeling good about it

it’s hard to comprehend the scale of rainfall in the last week, but i have NEVER seen a single spillgate open at the ballard locks. today, 5 of the 6 gates have a gap between the water and the bottom of the spillgate. notice the wake flowing past the buoys on the lake side

It's official. Mayor-elect Katie Wilson is retaining SPD Chief Shon Barnes in his post, as well as other public safety leaders at SFD, CARE, and OEM.

so someone definitely crashed their car onto the tracks on MLK right?
December 3, 2025 at 2:35 AM
i know i’m beating a dead horse but we really goofed by not blowing up the west seattle bridge when it started cracking and replacing it with a new bridge with a rail ROW. it’s insane that we appear poised to build an entire new high-level bridge for trains to just serve two stations
December 1, 2025 at 2:18 AM
i don’t think we as seattle urbanists don’t talk enough about boren ave
November 30, 2025 at 3:24 AM
the people above me at the viewpoint are discussing the insanity that was cars being allowed to drive through pike place market and how silly it was for businesses to oppose pedestrianization 🥰
November 30, 2025 at 12:13 AM
truly the city of no fun allowed! why the hell is the best beach in town open later during the winter than during the summer?

banning spending on harm reduction is so evil, and is utterly rich coming from a councilmember who is a recovering alcoholic. i can’t wait for her to be out of the council
