Hey gang, we've got a big ask. We're raising funds to improve the audio quality on our cop videos.

We're crowdfunding a set of RODE GO II mics. Please pitch in to help us cover the price with tax ($212.47).

A riot cop pushed two women down from behind at the ICE protests last June.

The OPA found the force wasn't even "reportable." We disagree.

No discipline for cop who pushed two women to the ground from behind at June ICE protest
The Office of Police Accountability found that the officer used "non-reportable" force to "guide" protesters back, but video shows a forceful push in at least one of these cases.

Dear cops, please stop using the phrase "bad guys." You sound like a fucking child. Thx

This. So much this.

Don’t serve them. Don’t date them. Don’t treat them like human beings. Make them pariahs. Break their morale.

Make them do the “sad Charlie Brown” walk out of every store they go into.

We recently made a video about former CRG Lt. Matthew Didier at Cal Anderson last year.

Richard Bonesteel is now a sergeant in that unit. This angry child temperament in CRG is a feature, not a bug. SPD chooses this type to lead.

Last week @cmeddielin.bsky.social talked about an ICE invasion of Seattle as feeling like a natural disaster. In general people band together during natural disasters and try to help their neighbors.
And “protest,” in a narrow sense, isn’t even the right term for what we are seeing now. Crucially, in reaction to the regime sending an occupation force of masked goons, a new form of resistance emerged: Communities organizing to help their neighbors, confrontational but peaceful.

At Seattle Central College for an educator led rally against ICE.

The crowd on the plaza is thicc. Around 500-700, spilling out into Broadway

Wearing plate carriers to raid an election office is crazy work.
NEW: The FBI’s search warrant, which sought 2020 election ballots, tabulator tapes, digital data and voter rolls from Fulton County, GA, marked what experts described as a significant escalation in President Donald Trump’s breaking of democratic norms.

Think “Black Lives Matter” painted on the sidewalk while more people die from police violence ever. single. year.

No stopping until there’s material change!
The biggest risk in this moment is something sociologists call “symbolic compliance.”

That’s when an institution that is violating civil rights gives the public just enough symbolic victories that accountability efforts lose steam before there has been any meaningful change.

For a second time, Seattle police Officer Tanner Jay was caught lying. Just one fib is supposed to end his career.

But despite clear evidence of dishonesty, the OPA argued it couldn't meet the high standard of evidence set in the police guild contract.

A Seattle cop was caught lying a second time. Why does he still have a job?
Officer Tanner Jay released two people stealing gas at a U-haul lot, did not write a report, and lied to investigators. He previously fabricated a conversation with a witness.

This for starters.

Also, ICE ERO tends to wear olive drab or sand colored plate carriers.

These dark blue vests aren’t common, and you probably wouldn’t see three ICE agents in one place wearing them

PSA: Somebody is posting false reports to ICE tracking apps in Seattle. It’s possibly right-wing trolls or ICE themselves.

This one, posted today, included an AI generated photo of ICE at a 7-11. Use caution before sharing.

"We're here to fuck people up."

Some folks are brigading public comment at the City Council's public safety meeting today over former CRG Lt. Matthew Didier's remarks last May. The video clips were released last week.

Comment starts at 2 pm

So...SPOG argued that it's spending so much "hard-earned dues" money on public records lawsuits that it can't afford to lobby.

We're effectively draining the police guild's ability to enact public policy at the state level. How bout that?

SPOG has been trying (and failing) to stop our work since we revealed the names of the six officers who went to J6 in 2021.

This is only the latest of several attempts.
