On my 12th carnival season I decided to, without shame, turn away from the parades I just walked down to, return home, make an egg sandwich at 9pm with homemade bread, and proceeded to sleep until 10am this morning.

I’ve been dealing with back to back flares since November, so if I’ve been erratic please forgive me.
I do my best to pace myself and tend to my body’s needs, but so often it feels like pushing a freight train up a mountain.
I can’t seem to catch up. Pain persistently pushes me behind. 😭

With all that love comes so much grief. Peace of mind flickered and faded, as was expected. Today I’m so sad, and so tired. Not to mention my regularly scheduled physical pain. Last night my mind was spinning.
