For folks still struggling with the math:

There are ~345 million US citizens.

There are ~245 million white US citizens.

This is what they mean by "Peaceful ethnic cleansing." Their plan ends with deporting all non-white people.

Not "undocumented criminals."

Not even "all undocumented people."
This should not be shrugged aside. They have stopped with the fake 22 million illegal immigrants things and are flat out saying we want to deport 10's of millions of citizens and legal residents from "third world countries" Basically they are advocating removing 1/3 of the population on a gov site.

"I want every morning to be a new year’s for me. Every day I want to reckon with myself, and every day I want to renew myself. No day set aside for rest. I choose my pauses myself, when I feel drunk with the intensity of life and I want to plunge into animality to draw from it new vigour." ✍🏽

Elon Musk promised a lot of things by 2025

- colonists arriving on Mars
- xAI achieving AGI
- Tesla robotaxis serving half the U.S.
- completely driverless robotaxis
- a Tesla Roadster demo
- DOGE cutting trillions

none of them happened

Musk is now infamous for his false promises, but even this is excessive.

This is a good thread. Fields of inquiry naturally develop new questions, sources, methods, and styles; in a fundamental sense, that change is what they are for. Culture war makes normal intellectual variation and change suspect and turns run-of-the-mill resentments into civilizational struggles.
The politics here are reprehensible but also really sad. He was a great scholar once. He had philological skills that no one has anymore. There are very few people who could produce that kind of work today. And to some extent, that's what this is about. He's mad that our field lost its former status

Trump has vetoed 2 bipartisan bills to make it easier to build a water pipeline in CO & give a Native American tribe more control over the Everglades

Why? Because they don't support his immigration policies

Trump is citing immigration to ban INDIGENOUS Americans from basic human rights like water🤦🏽‍♂️

One of the first things Trump did in Feb. 2017 was set up an office in DHS to *exclusively* publicize crimes committed by immigrants — just as the Nazis used Der Stürmer to publish a special section only highlighting “Jewish crimes.”
