#WeThePeople won’t stand for the systematic dismantling of the funds our students deserve. Call your senators today to tell them Linda McMahon is not qualified to lead our Dept. Ed.

Trump is prepping an executive order to dismantle the Dept. of Education, directly harming students. It will drain resources from the most vulnerable, skyrocket class sizes, make higher ed more expensive, strip special ed services, and gut student civil rights protections. We won't let this happen.

I forget just how exhausting a Trump presidency is. We are on week 3 and I am BURNT 👏🏼OUT👏🏼 Don’t forget to take care of yourselves, yall. We must make sure we are ok so we can fight back. #Resist #Advocate #SelfCare

Exhibit A why I will NEVER complain about paying my union dues. These organizations, funded by member dues, fight for their members and our babies without pause.
This week has been overwhelming—executive orders creating fear, uncertainty, and real harm to our students. But here’s what we need you to know: you are not alone. Your union is standing with you, advocating for you, and amplifying your voices. Share your story at nea.org/share

Wild how I’m about to become a dad for the first time and I feel SO GUILTY for wanting to step back from having so many outside commitments. The work I do is important, but my wife and future child are more important. I have to remember that is ok (and normal) to feel that way.

I am so absolutely SICK of this happening. It’s beyond time we wake up and demand our legislators ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING to stop this.
Two students have been shot in their school cafeteria in Nashville—a space meant for learning and connection, not violence. We cannot accept this as normal. Our students deserve safety, not fear.

We must act to end gun violence.
