The Dodgers win the World Series, Trump is still f’ing up the country and messing with the world…time to go back to bed for how long? The rest of 2025? Also, how soon until pitchers and catchers report? (P.S. Sorry, Canada)

Happy #PiDay! Whether or not you've heard the song before (I hadn't), I recommend finding and listening to the Kate Bush song "Pi." Not posting it here since it requires YouTube and I won't promote them, but listening to her sing dozens of digits of pi in her gorgeous voice just made me feel better.

On Friday CDC issued a health network advisory on measles and travel. Make sure you are up to date with MMR vaccine before travel especially if going to an area with measles outbreaks. Babies 6 -11mo in TX counties with measles outbreaks should receive an early MMR dose.

Hey Trump! You’ve f***ed things up so much that you caused my 87 yo father who voted for you (“not for him, but against Kamala Harris” 🙄) to actually AGREE with me that you f***ed up on Ukraine. We practically never agree politically. Democrats, you have an opportunity here. Please act on it NOW!

I sure picked a hell of a year to vacation in France. A few years ago I learned the immunity to measles from my childhood MMR vax was gone. F*** YEAH, I'm getting the MMR shot again before this trip: I don't want to learn about France's healthcare system the hard way! www.nytimes.com/2025/02/27/w...

So I just received this email from the Social Security Administration, encouraging me to report Social Security-related scams to the SSA’s Office of the Inspector General. (Uh, DOGE??) The message then invites me to connect with the SSA on Facebook, LinkedIn…or X. No Bluesky. 😩 What? No Alt SSA?!

If you oppose DEI you should have to use the full phrase, “I oppose diversity, equity and inclusion.”

Bonus points if you add your points, “I oppose disabled veterans equal access to employment.” “I oppose mothers having jobs.”

Making it an acronym turns it into a thought-terminating cliche.

Quote of the day, seen on a cashier’s hoodie at the fast-casual restaurant where I ate lunch today: “Defund the Politicians.” 👏 Too bad this restaurant isn’t near my house. I want to support their allowing employees to express themselves like that.
