Deinterlacing can be a bit of a challenge, when dealing with old video signals. Things that were originally shot on film can usually be converted back to 24 fps, unless additional editing, effects, or transitions were done on video. Or sometimes there are segments that were shot entirely on video.

This is something I could add to my media preservation list - the ads at the start of some VHS tapes. In some cases you'd have tie-in ads like this one for Diet Coke in front of Batman (1989).
Other times there was just an absurd amount of ads. My copy of Lady and the Tramp has nearly 10 minutes!

This is something I could add to my media preservation list - the ads at the start of some VHS tapes. In some cases you'd have tie-in ads like this one for Diet Coke in front of Batman (1989).

Speaking of biometric identification, apparently fingerprints, eyes and faces aren’t the only things on your body that can uniquely identify you. I guess ear, lip and tongue prints also distinguish you as the one-of-a-kind snowflake you are!

Not too long ago, I saw an AI video of a busty cartoon girl made of realistically-textured pancakes, getting loads of maple syrup.
To 3D-animate that, it'd easily be a week or two to create the model & rig. The animation wasn't complex, so would likely only take 2 days from start to polished.

Yeah, hand-crafted would be better, but how much more slop would the prompt user spew out in the same amount of time?
Worse, the prompts are sput-of-the-moment, "just for fun". They type the idea, and get a result. They don't have to plan, storyboard, build, texture, or budget for a month+ of work.
