"RFK"-obviously for Robert Francis Kennedy. For a moment, Ethel had no words. "The next time your boys want to fly a flag, ask them to do so from the steeple of the Catholic church, not from mine." With that, he handed Ethel the sheet and took his leave. Ethel closed the door. Then, at the top of her lungs, she looked to the heavens and screamed out, "Give me strength!"

It was all just mischief, but troubling just the same when the stories would get back to Ethel or the other adults in the family. For instance, one prank had the boys playing in busy Hyannis Port tourist traffic, only to have one kid fall to the ground while another smacked the back of a car, making a loud noise. Then they would all gather around their fallen chum and shout hysterical sentiments at the driver, such as, "You've just killed another Kennedy!" When panicked people came to the aid of the young Kennedy sprawled in the middle of the road, the boys would milk it for all it was worth by trying to get the boy to move his legs and then saying it looked as if he'd been paralyzed. But then the fallen Kennedy would suddenly stand up and walk away. At that, the other boys would proclaim, "Look, it's a Kennedy miracle!" and then race off, leaving a crowd of very upset Hyannis Port tourists in their wake.

Spyro the Dragon (PS1) (1998)

Spyro flying high over a green grass plateau surrounded by so many little spiky mountains with snow caps that it looks like a gathering of a large extended family of mountains all gathered around to look at the little flying dragon.

Gnasty Gnorc, a silly billy green orc wearing spiky orange armor and helmet, no pants and a big hammer is currently being insulted on live television for his charming looks which propels him to become the main antagonist and turns all the dragons (except one) into crystalline statues, possibly to sell them at the next local crafts fair.

Spyro prancing along on a beautiful green meadow with ancient castle walls and bridge adorning the landscape, suspiciously looking at another pantless gnorc with big beautiful eyes and a floppy head like a citizen of Canada from South Park, holding a big brown bag over his shoulder and holding a pretty pink crystal in his hand.

They lock eyes for a moment, exchange their "what's up buddy, pal and guy" and each go on their merry way.

Spyro and his trusty and annoying pal Sparx the Dragonfly arrive at some wooden docks overlooking the Dragon Realms bay with a beautiful ocean blue.

They're talking to a little pilot fellow wearing googles and a red face mask, aimlessly looking around, trying to find his balloon that's hovering right above his head.

Spyro and Sparx are currently contemplating whether this guy was the right pilot of choice.

Baroness Benjamin is backing a series of illiberal amendments to the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill.

One would:

"require all regulated user-to-user services to use highly-effective age assurance measures to prevent children under the age of 16 from becoming or being users."

While the stated intent is to ban under-16s from social media, the definition of a "user-to-user service" under the Online Safety Act 2023 is far broader. It covers almost any service that allows users to create content or communicate online. This includes social media, messaging apps, forums, and, critically for teens (and gamer parents who game with their children), Multiplayer video games.

Ying Yang. There’s two fronts that you’re looking at it. One is the professional end in front of the industry and what it means for creativity. And the other is, are we going to get terminated — is that happening? Do you know Ed Zitron?

I don’t think so.

You should look him up. He’s extremely cynical about LLMs [Large Language Models] and chatbots and stuff like this. He is convinced this is a massive bubble. There’s a lot of that thought going on at the moment that the LLM side of things is a kind of bubble that’s brewing — and how useful are they, really? For somebody who does a show that is worrying out loud a lot of the time about unforeseen consequences of amazing inventions, I can catastrophize with the best of them very quickly. And I can also, sort of think — I can see the value in these things if they’re used correctly as tools, basically. I can see the value in a tool creatively. I can see the value in a tool that a human being is deploying in that way. I can see the value in the tools in Photoshop. It’s when is when people go, “Oh, well, take your hands off the keyboard, walk away” — I don’t see who that’s for.

The thing that worries me about, like AI imagery — you feed the screenplay into it, and it pumps out a whole movie — is a smaller concern than: “Oh God. Society will crumble because we’ll just be flooded with misinformation.” That scares me more on a deeper animal level than the industry things. But the industry stuff worries me too. … I flip-flop between cautious optimism — or at least thinking — “Maybe this is just a big bubble and it’ll all go away,” and thinking, “Oh, we’re fucked.”

To me, that makes it *extremely* risky, not just because “AI bad” (it is)

The risk is although Anthropic have billions, they’re not even close to being solvent.
