#NoKingsProtest in Galesburg, IL!! A blue dot in red country. Teenagers first protest 👊🏻 As a librarian, I was so happy to hear the freshman English classes read Animal Farm this year. So I lovedddd my teen’s sign!! An organizer said it was 3-4x the size of their normal weekend protest crowds. Woo!

Among the Hidden by @mphaddix.bsky.social made a life-changing impression on me in 4th gr. during my school Readermania. Books like that made me destined to be a librarian. I just finished the series for the 1st time, as my son’s 5th gr. used it to introduce their govt unit this year. 🧵 1/2
