Labour's new policy of using asylum seekers as unpaid slave labour and sport for rich people to hunt is a bit concerning. But I guess it is either them or Reform, so...

Again, supporting my core political belief - that so much of politics is people trying to go back to the time they were a child not realising that it was great because they were a child

Obviously Badenoch is dreadful, but fair play, this is a good line:
"What we heard the health secretary say this morning is that he wants to cut waiting lists, but we all know that there’s only one waiting list that he really wants to cut."

Fascinating article. It resonates with my very limited dealings with the BBC where the impartiality comes from cowardice. Their news lines follow the morning papers, which are overwhelmingly right wing. They will always place far more emphasis on the government line that on campaigners’ lines etc
The reaction to the Panorama edit has been nothing short of hysterical. Yes the BBC has some impartiality problems. But its biggest isn't the one you think.

New piece from me.

Awfully pathetic of me this, I know, but will say it anyway. Alexander Isak holds the British record transfer fee and is fully fit, sitting on the bench and not been mentioned in the first half or at half-time. 2-0 down to a title rival and still nothing. Begs the question, should Gyokeres do more?

Slot won the title in his first season. He’s earned the right to completely overhaul Klopp’s team. All of them. Bring his own players in for every single position. Please

You’ll hear a lot “he is human after all” after that. (He’s not. It was just a software malfunction”

100% this. Gave up the ball for the whole final ten minutes
Lost the lead the minute we decided to bring in Mosquera. Cowardball.

If we had any attackers fit, I’d be sitting Saka down. He’s a million miles off his usual standard

Also, the lower stakes in the celebrity version makes it better in my opinion (something I never thought I’d say) #thetraitors

Look, he seems like a nice fella and all, but David Olusoga must surely face some professional consequences for his moronic antics here.

I've read three of his books and I feel CHEATED.

the women in the workplace discourse is very funny because a man who can act normal in an office environment that's predominantly female is absolutely on easy street. it's maybe the best gig anyone in history has had. and yet for many guys it is utterly impossible

A 34-year-old as a politician: My god he's like a baby. It's like they just elected an infant to be their mayor.

A 34-year-old as an athlete: You have to admire the bravery of him attempting that dunk, knowing full well the grim reaper is right behind him.

Streeting is 100% repositioning himself as to the left of Starmer, isn’t he?

A very young woman who did nothing wrong and showed uncommon self-respect in refusing to let Andrew Cuomo sexually harass her. He made her life hell for it. I hope she feels vindicated by the sound and unambiguous electoral rejection of that scumbag.

The lessons the Labour will learn from Mamdani’s victory is they should be moving further to the right and ideally offering people less hope. Oh, and attack immigrants a bit more

Boy Mamdani's race is really a vivid reminder that anti-Islamic bigotry is 100% accepted in US public discourse. People don't even bother dog whistling, it's just right out in the open.

I was as nervous watching that last ten minutes with the same nerves as if we were 1-0 up, I was so desperate to keep that clean sheet

I keep seeing supposedly progressive podcasts saying “the problem is that people feel like they just can’t talk about these issues” while these issues are frequently the *only* thing that people are talking about 😩
Am struggling with the idea that people like me somehow don't understand the legitimate concerns of people who attended the Tommy Robinson march. I literally had National Front fliers through my letterbox in my childhood in Greater London and I went to school and university with actual fascists.
