PM Carney left Davos to avoid posing with Trumpster’s Grift-o-Rama Bored with Peace gang. Of course Donny uninvited him before PM Carney (like other sensible leaders) declined to join.

If you don't think Prime Minister Carney's speech to WEF i Davos wasn't consequential, start tracking other leaders referencing or paraphrasing him. Start with European Commission President Ursula Van der Leyen's Jan 21 speech to open their parliament.

Bravo Prime Minister Carney. A well-deserved standing ovation for his speech that deserves a very wide audience. A very direct assessment of the world today while optimistically mapping the forward path.
This was an absolute fiery speech. There is absolutely no question that Canada will come out of this in a position of leadership in this new world.

I'm not smart or knowledgeable enough to offer commentary on whether Carney's moves on the China file are good or bad, wise or unwise; but I am smart and knowledgeable enough to know if Pierre Poilievre were PM we'd all be rockin' American licence plates by 2027.

Dear America, a polite question for you. Do you think maybe you could go 1 week (7days) without illegally murdering people in their boats or a mother in her car? Getting kinda weary watching your snuff videos on repeat in the news. And your insane justifications are insulting.

"...So to keep feeding his outrage addiction, Mr. Trump’s behaviour not only has to keep getting worse, but to do so at an ever accelerating rate. And, I suppose, the rate of acceleration must also increase, and the rate of acceleration of the rate of acceleration, and so on. " -Andrew Coyne, Dec.5

Dear editors everywhere today, a gift for you. The word you are looking for is “abduct”, which emphasizes the illegal context that is missing from your sane-washed term “capture”.
You’re welcome.

This piece says it clearly. And, at last, NYT might now have awoken from their sanewashing for that deranged gangster.
The editorial board of the @nytimes.com speaks rather clearly about the neofascist criminal Trump.

Calm intelligent answers from PM Carney to Rosie’s combative thrusts. Quite different from her soft approach to Poilievre.
Last spring I said that PMMC should do a monthly 'fireside chat' similar to FDR during WW2. A 10-15min address to the nation with updates on progress of the gov't and plans for the future. I still stand by that as having a calming effect and countering disinformation. #cdnpoli #CanadaStrong
Did you watch PM Carney’s interview with Rosanne Barton?

What did you think?

What did he say that surprised you?

I would like to see him do more of these types of interviews to help set the record straight so people aren’t misinformed.

Canadians, follow the CBS/Weiss story .
It is a lesson on how media can be taken over by politicians.
The fourth estate has been understood to be a pillar of democracy. The role it plays in getting to the heart of our stories/ news, is under attack. We attack the media rather than the perpetrators!

For once I agree with the honourable member from wine box, Oklahoma.
Not long ago, a bill tried to ban floor crossings.
Conservative MP Michelle Rempel Garner delivered a blunt, clear-eyed case for why that’s a terrible idea — and why she and her colleagues voted it down.

Why do Canada's political Journalists walk so carefully around any whiff of bad news concerning CPC?
Their treatment of the floor crosser vs the resignation speaks volumes.
