I kicked my Google addiction, and now I just use my G Home devices as dumb Bluetooth speakers. When you switch the mic button off to stop them eavesdropping the LEDs go Cylon-orange and they look like they're glaring at you. More about my month here: jimmunroe.net/writing/dive...

At Sitges, the sci-fi and horror film festival just outside Barcelona. Really amazed at how it totally transforms the town... There's even a statue of the festival's mascot! It's been going since the late 1960s.
