I had no idea Ansel Adams did this project.
The little bookstore on site had a reissue for this of a book I’ve never seen or heard of before.

Did you know that Ansel Adams, as an act of resistance, chronicled the stories of those who were sent off to this concentration camp?

This.
The news isn’t being clear about this but to people hearing about these Minnesota shootings: Melissa Hortman is the Dem leader in the Minnesota House and was Speaker of the House 2019-2025. She’s probably the most influential state-level Democrat barring the governor.

Librarian of Congress Dr. Carla Hayden was fired today by Trump. This is so very sad. She served with vision and integrity. What a loss.
What better day to launch a Bluesky account than our birthday? We turn 225 today! 🎂 🥳 Here's a brief summary of the Library's history, courtesy of Dr. Carla Hayden, the 14th Librarian of Congress.

Things Democratic Senators could do that would be useful:

- Withdraw unanimous consent from all Senate business until constitutional rule was restored

- Refuse to vote for any legislation until constitutional rule was restored

- Boycott as a caucus until constitutional rule was restored

Sen. Strom Thurmond voted against the Civil Rights Act, the Voting Rights Act, AND supported Jim Crow laws.

Thurmond’s record for longest floor speech (in protest of the Civil Rights Act, no less!) was just broken by a Black man, my good friend Cory Booker.

That’s America.
