Hey, did you know there's an alternative to ChatGPT that makes sense economically and doesn't destroy the environment?
It's called English majors and they will happily fix all of your documents for the low price of health insurance and a living wage.

Blue sky, sorry for this, but are any of you a city/regional transportation planner, or know someone who is a transportation planner?

My kid is writing a paper, and needs to ask some questions of a transportation planner, and her source fell through

PLEASE let me know ASAP

It’s easy to think that schools in Minneapolis are closed because the Feds murdered someone in the street but no, the actual reason is that while that was happening, the Feds were busy doing other heinous shit across the city like tear-gassing a school
“The move came after officials at Roosevelt High School said armed U.S. Border Patrol officers came on school property during dismissal Wednesday and began tackling people, handcuffed two staff members and released chemical weapons on bystanders.” — www.mprnews.org/story/2026/0...
Minneapolis schools cancel classes after Border Patrol clash disrupts dismissal at Roosevelt
Minneapolis schools closed for the week citing safety concerns after an encounter involving armed Border Patrol agents near Roosevelt High School.

It's telling that you say "I don't think masked thugs should be murdering innocent people in broad daylight" and Republicans start jumping up and down yelling "I guess we can't have law enforcement then." Do you hear yourself

BREAKING: ICE killed a Minnesota woman in broad daylight & there must be accountability.

But when I moved to subpoena all records & footage related to this murder, Republicans voted it down.

They've never cared about law & order or keeping our communities safe.

Dear World:

We have no idea what the fuck is going on with our government.

We are baffled, shocked, bewildered and horrified.

We are also deeply ashamed and so sorry for the harm the people in power are causing all over the place.

We’re just…frozen and numb with horror.

That’s pretty much it.

And that’s why I haven’t watched cable news in ~2 years now.
Turned on CNN just to see what the what and there's Scott Jennings, "was no angel-ing" the mother of a toddler who got shot in the face.

Public library workers know that this means we will need to step up. Many are coworkers near the pain from 2020. Others newly hit bc of new wave of fascists in Minneapolis. I hope ppl stay safe tomorrow but also know the libraries in Minneapolis will be open.
Minneapolis Public Schools has canceled school for the rest of the week — an email just hit inboxes in the last few minutes.

I'm sure the U.S. press will handle this story well and not engage in weird false symmetry that helps authoritarians obscure the truth about murdering a woman in broad daylight

I didn't expect Ken Jennings to be my bellwether for public sentiment outpacing political reality so quickly but here I am looking at a reasonable request at its most prescient moment...

And Democrats will look at this and say "Yeah... We're 100% not going to prosecute anyone in this admin ever."
The “prosecute the former regime at every level” candidate has my vote in 2028.

Anyone who has ever been to a supermarket knows that only the rich can fill their cart with filet mignon, asparagus, and white peaches.
The majority are forced to load up with spaghetti and hot dogs, rice and Spam and highly processed peanut butter and wonderbread.
It’s not a matter of choice!

This machine exists for moments like this. The public has to be told that what they think they saw did not happen. They did that with George Floyd and January 6 and any number of national tragedies. The gaslighting in overwhelming in times like these.

Got a special AI consent form to sign off on in my doctor's office, re: transcription software.
Hey, hi, I'm a transcriptionist (among other things), so... no. I will not be signing off on that.
Asked the receptionist; apparently of the several doctors in this practice, only one uses it. Not mine
