Look I looove Tolkien and I truly loved the LotR movies and the Hobbit movies a helluvalot more than most and even like the Rings of Power a lot but I have zero interest in the weird Gollum movie that they’re working on. Impossible to see it as anything other than a clumsy cashgrab. Just let it go.

Don't forget folks: allowing yourself a vision of the future you'd want for our country and planet - not the one you'd settle for, not the one you fear, but the future of your dreams - isn't naive, it's a vital cognitive skill. That's how we articulate what we most value. What's worth fighting for.
Instead of whatever this is, we should have a government getting lots of new homes and apartments built, lots of clean energy built, lots of high speed rail and transit and bike lanes built, human rights for everyone, economic & healthcare opportunities for all, & innovation that leads the world.

Minor quibble about word choice in the Marvel Multiverse RPG, but the choice to call the d616 result of [x] [Marvel] [x] as "Fantastic" instead of "Marvelous" and the result of "[6] [Marvel] [6] as "ultimate fantastic" instead of just "Fantastic" will annoy the hell out of me whenever I play it.

Dreamt that I’d somehow forgotten that the biggest RPG store in Sydney was actually up at my local shops, and I’m checking it out when who do so bump into but @naldodrinan.bsky.social who seemed very disappointed he’d been spotted on his world tour. He had a cold, but let me to hang out for a bit.

So a funny thing happened this year as an unexpected side effect of all the chaos and parathyroidectomy and that is a sudden sensitivity to anything horrible that I used to be fine with. Horror, gore, suffering, just can’t tolerate it anymore! Was always a bit sensitive, but now… flat no! Surprised!

Horror, gore, suffering, just can’t tolerate it anymore! Was always a bit sensitive, but now… flat no! Surprised!
About 10 years ago there was some shitstorm about I think it was James Malesewski and two thousand copper pieces. In the aftermath I got about half way thru writing a D&D adventure about wererats making flesh golems out of a lot of dead law enforcement. Never finished it. In the end I was stumped.
