There is nothing “radical” about wanting a more equitable city. About wanting to be able to afford rent. About seeing the gap between the rich and the poor growing beyond comprehension. Any mainstream media organization portraying these promises as such is doing a disservice to the industry.

Not really an overstatement to say that the test of a free society is whether or not comedians can make fun of the country's leader on TV without repurcussions.

Gregory Bovino, leader of Trump’s LA and Chicago raids, personally testified that he saw a protestor strike a Border Patrol agent. The jury did not believe him and the protestor was acquitted.

The Trump admin is losing these cases left and right. Their credibility with jurors is virtually nil.

There is a clutch of pundits who treat the world like it’s an Ivy League seminar course, mostly because that’s the environment in which they emerged. They think debate and white papers are the pinnacle of political action. They fume at anyone who approaches politics in any other way.

You ever just think about how much it sucks that Musk bought Twitter and absolutely destroyed it? Like man, that used to be where I'd meet new people, make real life friends, etc. Now, whenever I glance over there to check something, it's just unrecognizable.

The spin has already started as if our entire city is in chaos. I went from Burbank all the way over to Koreatown on surface streets tonight and jackshit was happening. The CNN coverage makes it look like world war 3 and that’s what Trump wants so he and his fucking goons can come shoot Angelenos.

You set the house on fire, watched it burn, and then lost your nerve and put it out. You now have a partially burned house. Great job.

So Musk’s people, who misread $8 million as $8 billion, who counted the same contracts multiple times and counted as savings programs that ended last year, claim that their AI is finding lots of Social Security fraud.

Why should anyone worry?

So they removed the black chairman of the Joint Chiefs in the middle of his 4-year tour, without cause, and they're seeking to replace him with a white **retired** Air Force three-star general who lacks the requisite experience as a service chief or combatant commander? Huh, how about that

The attacks on USAID are so telling about the whole blinkered worldview of this admin of goons. The cost to the US is minuscle, the benefits to recepients massive, the capacity to manage crisis abroad sustained, and they're happy to destroy it because they cannot concieve of anyone else as human.

The ordinary questions you might ask: Is Elon Musk a government employee? Are his lieutenants? Does he personally hold a security clearance and do his “lieutenants”? Have they all undergone a background check? Are they subject to foreign influence? Have they ever done a sieg heil on stage?
As long as this Elon Musk person isn’t known for blowing things up, we’re probably fine.

This is why Democrats keep losing.
Democratic Party’s newly elected Chair, Ken Martin: “There are a lot of good billionaires out there that have been with Democrats, who share our values, and we will take their money. But we’re not taking money from those bad billionaires.”

THIS. Every time a dem says something along the lines of “it’s complicated” they should be met with “So Tommy Tuberville is both smarter and better at this job than you?”
One republican senator - the absolute dumbest one, in fact! - held up 400 military promotions for a year. On his own, from the Senate minority.
when democrats vote for cloture 97-0 for these whackjob nominees and then tell you "its complicated" when you complain about them aiding and abetting trump, be very aware: they are lying. none of this is complicated at all. all they have to do is oppose.
