It was a great thing to be able to host this conversation. ‘Plans don’t change things, people do’, ‘get the basics right’, ‘get local’ and ‘intentionally hear all voices’ and ‘you can’t deal with the NHS in a vacuum from social care’ - wise words from all the panelists!!

So proud of my team and all our @nationalvoices.bsky.social lived experience partners who helped bring this all together. And thanks Helen for taking part in the launch event too. So impressed we had over 400 delegates! :)

Friends, colleagues, stakeholders read below … you have been dared.
Live now! For all ICS leads, vcse and communities, this is a fantastic framework to work together and start doing the work rather than talk or 'engage'
This has been codesigned in a collaborative approach with wide range of stakeholders. I dare you to take a look! @jacoblant.bsky.social

At #cqc event to launch the framework for addressing health inequalities www.cqc.org.uk/local-system... so pleased to see this brought to life! @jacoblant.bsky.social @sarahmassie.bsky.social Bola Owalabi as always so eloquent, ‘this isn’t just a tool this a real framework to drive improvement’!

Thanks for sharing @chrisham.bsky.social I completely agree. Imagine if each interaction with a person about their health concerns included, ‘what part are you able to play in leading and managing your own health and care?’
it's time to engage people and communities in improving health and using services wisely. Just expanding the supply of care is not a sustainable solution. Wanless in 2002 argued for a fully engaged population which has not been achieved www.nhsconfed.org/articles/mod...
Moderating demand for NHS care needs much more attention
It’s time to revisit the Wanless report and fully engage the public to improve health and reduce demand for services, writes Professor Sir Chris Ham.

So pleased with how many people are showing interest in the #10year plan workshop in a box #WIAB - we’ve had nearly 200 people join the briefing sessions so far. The potential for al many hyper local conversations informing a national plan feels very hopeful! @thinksinsight.bsky.social

I’m loving leading the briefings on the #workshopinabox for the #10yearhealthplan fab to see how many people are planning to run with it. I feel properly excited. Imagine 100 or even 200 🤩 hyper local community and staff workshops informing the plan?!? How cool is that! @thinksinsight.bsky.social

Off to an RCGP breakfast this morning to discuss everyone’s favourite topic right now … the NHS 10 Year Plan. With plans to shift more care in to the community there should be lots of opportunities for primary care, but only if we work communities to shape them.

If you have children in a state secondary in London, or work for one, I can come and give a wee careers talk about what's it like working in the VCSE. It's nothing spectacular, but there is always a few lovely young people whose ears prick up when I eulogise about work with purpose.

The National Theatre’s production of ‘Nye’ starring Michael Sheen is available for free for a few days on YouTube.

I’ve just watched the first half and it’s fabulous. Will catch the second half tomorrow; after this week I’m in need of an early night.
