today we saw the democrats avoiding a government shut down by agreeing to continue to fund ICE and DHS and this is being treated as a victory. this is exactly what i was afraid of. we already know what theyre doing to immigrants in camps but we're okay with it. just dont show it to us.

Of all the "didn't have to happen" travesties of the past several years in the games industry this manages to sit near the top. Indie team, no shareholders to please, game is still finding its legs, and dev accounts point to a promising post-release pipeline.

She's right. The gradual closing of the internet with "save the children" as a wedge issue is progressing and will only serve authoritarians.
We need more political organization around these issues - not just targeting Discord, but targeting the governments that encourage and enable this behaviour.

I’m glad to see people protesting Discord forcing IDs for age verification, but what I need everyone to understand is that there’s immense bipartisan pressure to make the entire internet like this, and they are likely going to succeed unless something drastic happens

I may delete this because it’s a bit spicy but it shouldn’t be lost on us that games being turned into TV is essentially harvesting the stories written by those who don’t have union representation or healthcare with WGA by those that do. Our stories are good enough for TV but the writers aren’t?

Adobe is not really in the creative software business anymore. They are in the digital wealth extraction business. I wish more comics publishers would prioritize moving away from Adobe.
