Huh. Twitter is down.

Didn't go offline much when I was there. Weird.

It won't permanently erase anything. Whatever is removed will be restored once these MAGA individuals are no longer a threat.
They don't want to teach history so they can repeat it.

I've always admired your writing, Sir. Wonderfully done!
Tariff-inflated prices pass the pain along to consumers, many of whom voted for Trump.
Good job, asshole.

A highly effective solution is to simply delete that lousy app.
on threads I had the option to use a filter to read fewer political posts but here I’d prefer a filter that helped me not write them

This ended up on Discover, so I know lots of people will flood my replies with the same comments without checking if they're repeated. So, I'll just turn off replies.

A friend of mine saw this coming because she worked for Smith. Since they're civil servants, they can have the union file a grievance.

Should we consider pulling our money out now?
do you enjoy knowing that when you deposit money in a US bank, you won't lose that money? nice, right?

it's because bank deposits are insured by FDIC.

i don't know what FDIC ever did to these people, but apparently it too is now on their blow-it-up list:

Banking regulator rescinds more than 200 job offers for examiners it needs
A government-wide hiring freeze is adding to a staffing shortage at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., complicating the agency’s efforts to oversee thousands of banks across the country.

Canceling the commissary could force many enlisted personnel and some new officers to rely on food stamps, merely shifting financial burden. Plus, food stamps might be canceled as well.
canceling the commissary — and i would assume, exchange — program is a one way ticket to getting a bonus army situation. for those unaware, the commissaries and exchanges are subsidized grocery and department stores for service members, veterans and their families.
Good lord. You weren’t joking.

I used Memrise to bridge the gap between my Castilian Spanish and understanding Mexican Spanish, like knowing the word for "car," because Duolingo focuses on a specific Spanish dialect.
ME: I took three years of Spanish. I grew up in Los Angeles. Could you please just teach me some more nouns and help me with the subjunctivo?

DUOLINGO: You didn’t know this one phrase that was used exclusively in one part of Caracas 40 years ago, so no. Back to “donde está la biblioteca” for you!

Avoid using the term "solution" as it can evoke associations with the "Final Solution."
Want a great slogan for midterms?
"If you FAFO and are struggling because of Trump policies, we understand. The Dems are here for you. Tell us how we can help you "

You get the point.

FAFO will be the theme. Be the solution.
