Flying home yesterday from Sacramento to San Diego made for a long day, nearly as long as driving would have taken. Cancellations and cascading delays. I at least made it home. I know some people fared worse.

I went to a punk and ska show in Sacramento last night. Then I had to fly back to San Diego today. Busy busy busy. Kick-ass show though.

For a birthday gift for Mr. Moore, please consider switching services to one that pays artists better AND does not support ICE recruitment and fund the building of weapons of War…it’s a little gesture, but helps artists and makes a statement… of course, the best option is always @bandcamp

The lesson of history is that tyrants cannot be appeased.

Appeasement only feeds their insatiable hunger for power.

Tyrants prey on people who feel unsafe and vulnerable.

But without mass submission, a tyrant is powerless.

Remember this.

Trump is choosing to take food away from families, despite being ordered to pay out SNAP funding by multiple courts. Playing politics and using hunger as a weapon like this is not only cruel, it's illegal.

I worked at Subway for a while during college. I can still smell the onions and mustard.
Border Patrol agent Lairmore testifies that he was not injured by the sandwich, but he felt the impact through his ballistic vest.

The sandwich came apart and "kind of exploded" on his chest upon impact, he says.

"I could smell the onions and mustard."

We’re in a strange limbo where secret police are routinely beating, disappearing, and shooting everyday people in public, but they’ve not yet consolidated enough power to stop us from talking about it on social media. That imbalance prob can’t last. Either we roll them back or this gets rolled up .

People fucking hate this guy. They fucking hate ICE. They fucking hate how much power he has. He is at 63% overall disapproval to 37% approval. That's lower than their poll after January 6th. And this poll was done before he started intentionally starving people. I wish our media would reflect this.

Republicans in Congress are so hell-bent on taking away Americans’ health care that they don’t care about costing the economy $14 billion to do it. But yeah….sure…they’re “fiscally conservative.”
The government shutdown won't be completely recouped—and it could cost the economy up to $14 billion, estimates say | Fortune
The report says lost goods and services from furloughed workers’ downtime won’t be regained once the government reopens.

Donate to your local food pantries and shelters. We still have no idea whether the emergency funds will be released and they’re not enough to cover full costs.

Build mutual aid. The only way we get out of this mess is to reinvigorate our sense of interconnectedness.

This video is circulating on TikTok. Did it really not make it onto air?
I see that CBS chose not to air this part. It probably explains much of what they did decide to air.
