Last week, we held our first Dev Innovation Day!
For one day, we put our heads together to tackle something outside our roadmap, an initiative we knew would still delight our customers.
This is just the beginning. Stay tuned for more Dev Innovation Days and more updates 😉

After months of work in Solid, this week we ran into a couple bugs that made me realize this isn’t a good fit for my team. One was a tooling bug, which was easily resolved, but another was a but in - I guess - solid router? But parametrized routes do not react to the parameter changing.

Would’ve had my DO project far along if I wasn’t stuck moving while having a stomach bug, 2025 is gonna rock tho 🙏
🎆 Happy New Year!
2024 saw TinyBase gain a fully-fledged sync system with CRDTs & reconciliation protocol. We added Postgres & PGLite support. And don’t forget the magical CloudFlare Durable Objects integration!
2025 is going to be amazing. Thank you, as ever, for your passionate support 🙏

@jamespearce.bsky.social hey James, is there an existing guide or something on the horizon for (granular) sync permissions?
E.g. if I want a transaction/mutation to be able to be rejected at the sync level for a specific reason X or specific data Y, how do I go about that?

Pretty close to the stack that I want, a nice to have would be for it to be deployable through SST, but I’m already really happy that with the Durable Objects update @tinybase.bsky.social will be integral to collect all of my “operating” apps into one, sick, @expo.dev project 🙏
It’s nearly time to start my next project which will probably kick off this holiday period.
I want to put together all of the Small Apps that make me tick into one Big App, an operating system in the literal sense.
It’s been on my mind for a bit and my habits have tanked, so a good time to start!

📣 Just launched a (not so) new tasty project:
responsive-image.dev.
Ingredients:
🖼 Image component for @emberjs.com and @lit.dev (more to come)
⚙️ Process local images in @vite.dev or webpack, supporting WebP+AVIF and LQIP
🌍 Load remote images from image CDNs like @netlify.com, Cloudinary or imgix

Been trying out more stuff related to mechanical keyboards, getting confident with mods (I’m a casual beginner, so bear with me!) so I decided to write about it.
(P.S. pretty much this entire site is React Native ;) )

It helps you create a pan gesture that auto-selects items in a list.

It’s crazy to think in a month from now I won’t be full time focused on a React Native project for the first time in 4 years.
Genuinely hope there’s a path to use RN in the new challenge at some point but for now it’s back to web-only for me 🫶
