A bug in*

I hope Solid continues to grow and to thrive, but it needs a lot of love to take a serious place in the Frontend Dev sphere (imo).

Docs are too minimal/incomplete*, ecosystem does not feel well maintained* and everything feels a bit too unpolished*

(*compare to React)

Hope they’ll make it happen!

Both tipped the scales in my (at that point still hopeful) perception of Solid and its’ ecosystem, but as I said there’s no fit and no reason to stay.

We were in the midst of rewriting *everything* in Solid, but will move (in parts, back) to React now.

Not even when using family members?

The only other explanation feels like it could be pnpm issues that I’m facing. But everything is so vague and expo redboxes do not give sufficient information when something module related breaks that I spent 4 days on this issue, which started with flatlists “suddenly” being funky. 🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠

Expo 53 broke flash-list for me on an install (cannot find tslib) until i deleted all generated content and modules, reinstalled and reran as well. Felt like I was losing my mind!

I completely purged discord from my daily life and i feel so much calmer

Have had people with windows only knowledge try to lock down a macbook needed for devs. They suggested turning off not just critical ecosystem features but also… the terminal. 🤦

I think one issue is that this kb does not have legends. I might need to swap some alphas in to get started
