R-Universe by @rOpenSci is an extremely useful project.

My latest R package, {pmtiles}, is not a good fit for CRAN as it bundles a pre-compiled Go library.

With R-Universe, I was able to get installable cross-platform binaries built in hours!

Super excited for the new release of #rstats V8 which now also works in WebR by running js/wasm natively in web worker (thanks to @gws.phd). Will release some cool new packages soon to show the potential of WASM in R ✨

In the recent npm supply chain attack, DuckDB's Node.js and Wasm packages were compromised with malware. We have investigated the issue, deprecated the affected packages and released new versions.

R-universe now also builds and checks binaries for ARM64-linux (both R-release and R-devel). To install Linux binaries, see our docs: docs.r-universe.dev/install/bina...

Clicking on the check summary opens the results table (which is getting pretty large) and shows status+timings for each platform.

r-universe.dev builds now store cran-like R CMD check error summary as "annotation" in the GHA runs. One can inspect such annotations even without logging into GitHub.
