On Men’s side we have going back a bit Joey Leonetti and Scott Benedetti two guys who absolutely would’ve played in MLS hasn’t existed (both got US nat caps). More recent Josh Saunders (Grants Pass), Rubio Rubin and Alan Gordon.

I don’t know if Inter Miami project will be bad and good for MLS in long term but I do know that only MLS would find a way to make Messi, the GOAT golden child, a villain.

Ask yourself why that garbage pail of a human Bovino is in every clip caught by bystanders? If there were truly thousands of CBP in Minneapolis how can he be in so many places at once? The TL/DR is this: don't let social media convince you of an on the ground reality that doesn't exist.

In Portland when they did this I called it "Peacocking" - making oneself appear much bigger than they are. They rely on and count on our natural revulsion to that spectacle to then extrapolate these actions must be happening everywhere all at once. Not the case. Not at all. Opposite in fact.

For these goons, the spectacle of them as a stormtrooper batallion numbering in the tens of thousands is as important as the actiual violence itself. They want you to think that the entire Twin Cities are under occupation. These high spectacle enforcement operations are designed to be just that.

Our daily lives were (are!) very different than what was portrayed nightly on TV. I don't say this to minimize the horrors but to caution against catastrophizing (sp?) them as well. Like in 2020/1 Portland, Minneapolis has been invaded by Federal Trump thugs bent on creating mayhem & violence.
