Oregon politico. I’m passionate about Politics. Education Policy. Timbers. Thorns. Soccer/Footy in general.
As the nation’s first all vote by mail state (starting in 2002). Oregon Ballots were always due by 8:00 PM on election day either in the mail or at a dropbox and we had the highest turnout in the country. In 2018 we moved to postmarked by election day - it’s made no difference in turn out.

So "Fox 12 Oregon" is just "Fox News" now right?

It's about running the right candidate for the right seat. Mamdani gets 1% in in VA and Spangberger vice versa in New York. There are many lanes for Dems to run in and it's not a competition nor a one size fits all solution.

Democrats win by running the right candidate for the right seat. A former spook was perfect for VA while Mamdani and his message was spot on for the struggles New Yorkers face today. We CAN run and win by running in all the lanes.

The Apple TV deal combined with this absurd playoff format and timing has made the league utterly irrelevant to normies.

“SNAP” didn’t run out. The money is there. Trump admin is intentionally and illegally holding SNAP funds from being distributed despite judge’s explicit orders. Truth and accuracy matters.

So essentially the Timbers have $7 million dollars invested in two guys who don’t/cant play.

Compounding things - there is a ton of sunk costs in Kelsey and DDC that they are going to be reluctant to just write off after a single season so we are stuck with those two useless lumps for at least another season or more.

Ayala had a rough night but he's great, JDM and Fory (when he isn't doing stupid things) are good building blocks. The problem is Finn, Ayala and JDM are all likely gone to Europe/SA here shortly.

To be clear this was a joke tweet before the game ended based on how Neville pulled offensive players and bulked up the midfield etc.
October 27, 2025 at 4:49 PM
He didn’t actually say this. It was part of my tweet about this exact thing - the way he managed the end of the game last night suggested he thought this was aggregate scoring.

Donald Trump. You can just say it.
October 27, 2025 at 3:41 PM
Rojas was supposed to be that signing. Hurt of course.

1) you have no idea that’s his condition and 2) that doesn’t make a lick of difference if it doesn’t show up on the field. And it hasn’t. At all.

You’ll enjoy my made up Phil quote in a different tweet.

Should Antony have scored on that breakaway? Yes. Now name a moment that DaCosta was remotely in a position to be that impactful.
October 27, 2025 at 5:12 AM
Well said. He looked promising the first half of the year and ever since he injured his shoulder he’s been a ghost. No idea why a shoulder injury would derail a soccer players confidence but it’s the only theory I have!
October 27, 2025 at 5:09 AM
Nope nope nope. Antony assisted on the goal. Was he great? No. But he was at least involved. DDC was doing his best impression of Casper the Ghost for Halloween.

DaCosta goes to the bench before anyone.
