I don't know for certain that you can obtain a manual same-day postmark, but if you are sending a ballot or taxes, it is worth trying to get it marked in front of you. Anyone in the know, let me know if people can do this.

Winter Solstice has been warm and wonderful in the Reynolds home. Last night we shared light and treats in community, and today we exchanged presents and shared a small feast as a couple. Looking forward to new beginnings as the light returns. Blessed Yule and Happy Solstice to all who celebrate!

I think the SFWA needs to address the misfire in the rules committee in the most strenuous way possible. That there was ever even discussion of allowing AI suggests they are wildly out of touch with their writers.
