Honored to be part of this reflective piece led by @laurenshallion.bsky.social. Thinking through these issues was cathartic, then lit a fire, then instilled hope for how to keep moving psych wellness & behavioral health forward. May others feel that hope & drive to keep psych science rolling. 🙏🏼

Europeans and...Burqueños. New Mexico has universal child care (up to age 13!) as of November 1, and Albuquerque has free bus service. 🎉
"Europeans recognize his vision about free public transit and universal childcare. We expect our governments to make these kinds of services accessible to all of us,” said Verbeek. “We pay higher taxes and get civilized societies in return."
Europeans recognize Zohran Mamdani’s supposedly radical policies as ‘normal’
Critics of New York City’s mayor-elect have said his pledges of free bus service and universal childcare are unrealistic, but in Europe it’s a given

Narrator: He did not go too far.
Smoked shrimp cheesecake, a Cajun-New Mexican-Carolina hybrid of smoked cream cheese & smoked gouda w/ shrimp & bell pepper, hatch chiles, & pimientos. Parmesan crust, topped w/ cajun béchamel.

Have I gone too far? Maybe not but I’m sure knocking on the door. #FoodSky

Btw, mascarpone is one of the easiest cheeses you can make and totally elevates tiramisu to a new level (and homemade mascarpone is so much cheaper too!).
Thankful to @jenperillo.bsky.social for my annual tiramisu (plus a plethora of other things I can’t do justice to her for).

No, nutrition is not better than vaccination.

Just set this up. Very cool
This is one of the best features I have seen on blue sky yet- a custom feed of papers from people you follow. I had to un-follow the various biorxiv channels, as it was dominant, but now I am seeing lots of cool papers from people I follow.

Great work on this feed, @paper-feed.bsky.social team!

I've been absorbing thoughts from many of you & will throw your name out anytime I feel I'm pulling from your inspiration. Even when I'm not as vocal, you're impacting me in ways I strive to pay forward.
