Bruce is one of the most interesting people I spoke to in the reporting of Sex Robots and Vegan Meat. He has a book out this week on the future of meat which is eloquent and urgent and takes in everything from Robin Williams to The Simpsons. If you liked him in my book, you should read his
ICYMI, a lovely 2-page spread in yesterday's @theguardian.com about my new book Meat, which goes on sale Tuesday.

I don’t understand why I’ve got so many new followers over the weekend. Is it because X is so appalling and more people are coming here now? Am I in a new starter pack? Is it because my big new podcast is out next week? Is it because I was Ed Winters’ podcast? Let me know. I am flummoxed.

Verdict: only a hint of grapefruit. An afterthought. A suggestion. Orange would have been a better suggestion.
My Christmas cakes have been in the oven nearly three hours. Just tried to make juice from the oranges I have zested. Cut them open and realised the oranges are actually grapefruits. Have I ruined Christmas?

This is a systemic problem within our prison service. So grateful to Cherrie for trusting me with her story. www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle...

Every so often you do an interview and the person is so eloquent and brilliant and you are flooded with the juice of it all and feel incredibly privileged to be a journalist.

I wrote this, about the worst thing that ever happened to me, and now I chose to deal with it www.theguardian.com/money/2025/n...
Even when unthinkable things were happening to me, my first instinct was to work. Am I addicted?
It was only years later, when I heard the word workaholic being used seriously for the first time, that I wondered whether I had a problem
