I reject calls for civility from bigots spewing true vileness. The people who are the targets of any type of bigotry do not owe politeness to in the bigots dehumanizing them.

I keep thinking the *process* of researching is as important as what you discover.

It forces you to consider what impacts and relates to what you are looking for and the context of what you find impacts its meaning.

Knowledge is not a box of cereal that you can just grab a handful of. #KM
Well slap my ass and call me Suzy
Relying on ChatGPT to teach you about a topic leaves you with shallower knowledge than Googling and reading about it, according to new research that compared what more than 10,000 people knew after using one method or the other.

Tierra and her teen-aged son deserved better. This boy, who found his mom lifeless deserves all the help and care he needs for the rest of his life processing this trauma. No more pregnant people should die like Tierra did.
● Tierra Walker WANTED To Live.
In Texas, a 37-year-old devoted mom asked doctors for an abortion. She was high-risk for preeclampsia, 20 weeks pregnant, and pleading for help to end her pregnancy. But the state’s total abortion ban said no.

Have you signed up for my newsletter? It's fun. It's unobtrusive. It slides into your mailbox like "heyyyy here's a recipe for soup and also my thoughts on Chuck Schumer." It's short. But it's funny! You won't know if you don't sign up.

Gilmore Girls was on my tv for some reason the other day. Since then I've been wondering how many residents of Stars Hallow would refuse "the jab" and how many voted for Trump. We know Dean & Taylor did. Probably all 3 times. In fact, where was Dean in Jan 6?

All joking aside, the heartbreaking thing about this story is seeing how a white “journalist” with poor prose & worst journalist ethics gets to repeatedly crash out & land plum jobs while so many poor, trans, Black, Native journalists never get in journalism’s door. Like…
How do you land Vanity Fair west coast editor at age 32 after having affairs with two presidential candidates you were covering as a journalist. That is some prime white lady shit.

You mean the company that's currently being struck by its workers and the company that's currently being boycotted because of its terrible DEI policy rollbacks? Why not just call this the Chocolate Mint Racist Scab Frostie?
Beginning Monday, a Frozen Peppermint Hot Chocolate drink will be available exclusively at Starbucks cafés inside Target stores.

The chains are hoping the drink can drum up excitement from customers this holiday season.

Child marriage is heinous, but one thing I never see brought up in those discussions is that if you are under 18, you cannot file for divorce. If you are under 18 and married to an adult, they are your legal guardian and make decisions for you. That is not a partnership.
Most Minors Who Are Married Can't File for Divorce — Even if They Want To
The final installment of Wedlocked, our series about child marriage in the U.S., explores divorce.

You made a difference—so much of a difference.

Rest always in peace, and always in power.
