What people outside this fandom don’t understand is it was more than just a soap couple. It’s been a community. It’s been a safety net during hard times. Thanks to them I found myself and by extension and amazing girl. It’s not just the ending of a couple on a soap. #jarlena

Slowly forming an idea that much of What's Wrong With the Social Internet is an inability of some folks to distinguish between different categories of opinions.
A lot of benign things (like preference or idiosyncrasies) get responded to as if there's a right and wrong when... there just isn't.

Making posts about someone after you’ve blocked them is a bitch move. Using the death of an actor to silence differing opinions also a bitch move. We all have different opinions about what has aired over the years. And believe it or not it’s ok for all of us to express those opinions.
