A lot of new followers here over the last couple of days, so I’ll introduce myself again:

Hey, I’m Jeff! 👋🏻 I live in Seattle (Ballard), I’m a software engineer by trade, and I love cities and transit.

Please share with me your favorite cityscape and/or transit pics! Here’s a few I’ve taken
Given that there’s almost nothing online about the shuttle, I’m going to presume that it’s an employee shuttle (maybe to/from the ferry terminal and/or the Sounder station?). Many large employers in the area offer employee only shuttles (Amzn, Msft, Sbux, Expedia)

Better yet, extend it to Northgate. Easier access to the E line and 1/2 lines, built-in layover spot, and it could bypass the extra turns that the 40 makes to serve North Seattle College.

A more express service from Ballard to Northgate sounds pretty good to me.

Is anyone else bothered by this obvious gap in the RapidRide network? Getting from somewhere along the northern leg of the D to anywhere north of 100th is so cumbersome due to that extra transfer to the 40 you have to do.

This is my favorite thing about the Super Bowl win lmao
it remains utterly delightful that @wilsonforseattle.bsky.social—who I bet has never watched an NFL game— gets to be Mayor Football and not the guy who constantly talked about his football career in the '70s, hired his football buddies, and dropped at least one football reference in every speech

I just wanna know why these new ones are so ugly though 😅 Why can't we match the design style of the existing ones? They seem temporary in the current form.

Watching a replay of the Olympic opening ceremonies and…they used AI slop for an animated “history of the winter games” segment?

In the biggest celebration of human achievement - both sport and art - they couldn’t pay an animator for two minutes of content.

Incredibly disappointing.

It absolutely sucks that the most surprising thing to me about this is the Times outright calling it racist, rather than something like “what experts say is racist” or “arguably racist.”

As the kids say, we’re so cooked.

Bullying public officials works (at the local level, at least)

Because, of course, the private sector is always the most efficient route (/s)

I would apply for this job so fast

Maybe it’s like the “receipt checker” security guards at grocery stores now: an easy excuse to profile people and harass the uncooperative?

As a software/system integration nerd, if you have any spare tea to spill… 👀

Granted, this was not a very busy time of day, and it was on the SeaBus, so a long time between stops. That system seems a lot more cumbersome on a packed train making frequent stops.

I’ve had my fare checked in Vancouver. I tapped with Apple Pay, and the fare checkers were prepared with instructions to pull up the last 4 digits from Apple Wallet. For those who paid with a regular card, they just asked for last 4 digits. They just typed the 4 digits into their app and it verified

A rule like this is already on the books bsky.app/profile/joev...
This highlighted section sounds to me to be more of a reference of Seattle's existing program, which mandates relocation assistance for renters who receive notice of a 10% or greater rent increase and are at or below 80% AMI.

This is likely just a standard Microsoft Office license, so ST employees will have the opportunity to use Copilot tools within Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc. From how this has gone broadly in the public sector, this will probably go largely unused.

Thank God! This used to be along my commute and EVERY DAY the bike lane looked exactly like this, particularly that little zig-zag to the right

Tarrant County is the largest red county in the nation. I cannot emphasize enough how big this is. Rehmet winning this race against Wambsganss would be an earthquake of Biblical proportions.

I grew up in this Texas district. To see this kind of outright rejection of the GOP and Trump’s endorsement is shocking, even in the current climate.

The fascists are going to fucking lose.
30 point swing you say?

I went to tap yes, and as I did an ad or some other content above loaded, and the “no” button shifted down to where my finger was 😡

Recall that Melissa Hortman and her husband were murdered not long ago by a fake cop who showed up at their door looking like this guy
This is from Georgia Fort’s video.

DEA?!? Gotta be a “task force.”

We’re just leaving the west side of the 15th Ave NW corridor alone? A one-sided corridor?

17 hours/day, 6 days a week. This is fraud.
