Have you ever played Commando on the NES?
Ever notice how the scrolling seems to jump and jitter as you move up the screen?

WHY does it do that!?

Even though my Voodoo preparing days are numbered thanks to FPGA Voodoo cards on the horizon, I fixed another one today.

This very special Voodoo 1 crashed on the first frame it renders, even when the TMU is disabled. So my verdict was the FBI RAM was probably faulty.

Spent a lot of time trying to fix this very broken Savage 4 Pro but out of luck.

- Fixed broken power rail missing FB
- Re-flashed botched BIOS
- Sanded broken BCB layers
- Reflowed RAM chips

Don’t forget that you are a kuso gaijin when you post about Dragon Quest. You and the Japanese think fundamentally different most of the times.

My days of collecting dead Voodoo cards and reviving them are numbered🫠
First light on real hardware. I will call it what it is when I decide it is.

Fiddling with the bunch of dead 6800 GT from @vswitchzero.com these couple of days.

Turns out these 100uF caps are just dying. By changing them, I fixed one unstable one, and revived a totally dead one, but now it heavily artifacts.

So now I have 1 good and 3 with VRAM issues🫠

Had been wrestling with Win98QuickInstall since last night and all I got was a blinking cursor on my X58 board. Guess I'll have to slow install it then🫠
