Am I the only one who imagines this pipe bomber press conference as a Saturday Night Live skit? Trump would enter stage right and pardon the bomber like he did the J6 rioters. It’s impossible to take Judge JP, Patel or Bondi seriously?

Pete Hegseth using the words “fog of war” to describe bombing a speedboat is an insult to every soldier who stormed the beach in Normandy or fought in the trenches against Nazis. What a sad excuse for a soldier that man is.

Lots of people on my feed are concerned about the destruction of NOAA by the Trump administration and Elon Musk, but much of what I’ve seen people post about is the national weather service. That’s vital, but NOAA does so much more than that!

Ten Vital Services Provided by NOAA (Beyond the National Weather Service)
Far too much of the media coverage supporting NOAA only mentions one of many things they do: here are 10 more.

The intended lesson of Alligator Alcatraz is that there are no lessons in the past: There are no mistakes to correct, nothing to apologize for and nothing better to reach toward. There is only power and domination, and they should be celebrated. Plenty of Americans have believed that all along."

This 100%
This is accurate. For Collins and Murkowski too. They like to trade off on oppositional votes when it looks like they could impact the outcome. If Collins really wanted to send this bill to the graveyard where it belongs, she would have done the work to form a 4-Senator bloc. #MEPolitics
To our knowledge, Susan Collins has NEVER been the deciding vote against a GOP bill or nominee -- with the exception of the McCain thumbs down which was an accident, taking her and everyone else by surprise.

By contrast she's been the deciding vote FOR dozens of GOP bills/judges/etc. #MEpolitics

Framing is everything.
Folks can argue about the relevancy of the “Democratic socialist” label all day. But if that’s what you’re hung up on, you’re missing the larger point.

People aren’t chasing labels. They’re chasing change. Real, structural, unapologetic change.
