Them: “I’m sick of subsidizing their groceries when mine cost so much”

SNAP does not drive up grocery prices.

That would be inflation, tariffs & corporate greed.

For every $1 spent on SNAP there’s a $1.50 going back into the economy.

While you’re blaming the poor, the rich are robbing everyone.

This is what I have been trying to explain to other leftists. So many leftists go "they want better for the working class just like us, we also believe in owning guns, we could--" LOOK I was raised by these people. They are never going to abandon the racism, they will only poison us.

There’s this corner of the Dems that is starting to realize (especially as they digest the latest election results, in the context of Trump’s win) that affordability is the whole game.

That this is a proper class war.

Somewhere deep in ashes of my cynicism, I feel a faint ember of hope rekindle.

Maybe women with children, especially single moms, would like to feel supported and receive help from government programs America people pay into. Maybe just give them food assistance without judgment or conditions. Maybe invest in better school and healthcare systems. Provide some free childcare.

Maybe they don't like that republican Pete Hesgeth, th4 secretary of DEFENSE, is treating female soldiers and military personnel like shit. Maybe they would like leaders who recognize women's accomplishments and treat them as equals.

It is absolutely insane that "the GOP regularly wins supermajorities in the Deep South because white southerners reliably vote for the GOP at a rate outstripping any other demographic" is consistently taken as morally normative, instead of a simple descriptive statement.

A veto-proof House requires 290 votes. If we get this, or more in the House (and the momentum is certainly building) – the Republican Senators will feel dramatic pressure to do the same (67 votes). Release the Epstein files!

Although many people are saying it, I do not believe our current president sucked off former president Bill Clinton on camera. I have not seen sufficient evidence that our current president gave the former president a blowie in a way that was memorialized in a photo. That's not something I believe.

Remember: The richest 1% evade over $160 billion in taxes every year.

That amount would fund SNAP for a year with money to spare.

Ask yourself who the real freeloaders are.
