Today’s “totally honest” DOJ release reminds me of when my Dad returned to office after an unplanned 4 yr hiatus. We walked into the Gov’s office and there was a roaring fire in the fireplace where, it turned out, a whole lot of gubernatorial must-save documents were being fed into the inferno.

I have planned & hosted these ceremonies at two different jobs, and I can 100% confirm that @kevinmkruse.bsky.social is 100% correct. And I would guess that probably 90% of people born in this country couldn’t pass the citizenship exam that new Americans have to pass to be naturalized.
If you've ever been to a naturalization ceremony, you know they're filled with people whose palpable love of this country is twenty times stronger than the pinched "patriotism" of any native-born MAGA chud.
