I remember seeing BTTF at the Avalon on opening night in an absolutely packed house, and the audience truly went wild. One of my favorite movie-going memories (along with opening night of Pulp Fiction).

On the flip side, there's kids like me, who leave their mother sobbing on the corner across the street on the first day of kindergarten after saying, "You can just stay here, I'll go in by myself."

It's weird to be deeply shocked when someone who is 89 dies, but as a child of the 70s, it's almost impossible to imagine a world without Robert Redford in it.
