In the frog-in-a-boiling-pot analogy, we are BOILING right now.
In case you’ve forgotten how we used to treat this sort of thing…

There would be bipartisan calls for investigations

Impeachment would be a foregone conclusion

Several people would’ve resigned or been fired by end of day

Back when responsible adults were in charge, not this insane clown posse

Collins: Do you think someone should be fired over this?

Buttigieg: Absolutely… if there’s not accountability for a screw up like this, especially from a president who used to fire people on television for sport, what are we even doing here..

For Maths fans, 2025 is a square.
45² = 45 x 45 = 2025
Also,
9² x 5² = 2025
40² + 20² + 5² = 2025
My favourite?
1³+2³+3³+4³+5³+6³+7³+8³+9³ = 2025

Judging from LOTS of folks’ end-of-year posts, I wasn’t the only one who had a rough 2024. Not by a long shot.

This was a year of emotional extremes for me. Massive, demoralizing gut-punches and joyous, meteoric triumphs. Dreams came true and devastating news hit.

Gaetz is so innocent he resigned his seat in Congress to try & block the report from becoming public, then filed an emergency motion seeking an injunction to block its release, now can’t fight the charges because he quit rather than stay and contest them.

As innocent people do.

They 👏🏻 run 👏🏻 them 👏🏻 because 👏🏻 people 👏🏻 react 👏🏻 to 👏🏻 them 👏🏻 the 👏🏻 most.
“Don’t feed the trolls” also extends to bad opinion pieces in papers of record.

They run them bc people react to them the most.

If we stop linking to bad columns and instead post thinkers we find valuable (& generate convo around it), incentives change.

It’s not easy and takes constant practice!

It’ll never not bug the living crap out of me that the most misogynistic toxic male in America twice denied two overly qualified women from obtaining the highest office in the land. A less than mediocre male, failing up.
