after putting so much hard work in a few stories—some of my best writing—to get rejected by highly specific calls and nowhere else to send my stories, I might go back to writing short fanfic every time I get the itch

Ehren bottles every negative emotion inside and smiles/laughs every time he casually tells someone about his past trauma so they don’t feel too concerned….but it’ll all catch up to him one day and come out at the worst time 👍🏼
