✨about my Latinx identity and my books✨
My Latinx identity In case you didn’t already know (since I talk about it so much) I am proudly Mexican. I was born in Los Angeles to parents who were born in Zacatecas and Michoacán and over half of my DNA makeup is Indigenous from those parts of Mexico. I don’t speak fluent Spanish but practicing, carrying on, and celebrating my Mexican culture with food, music, dance, books, tv, film, and holiday traditions is very important to me, as well as connecting to both my Indigenous and European roots. I have lived in 5 different counties in California and I once lived in Paris, France and speak as much French as Spanish.
