Donald Trump has just released a national under 18 trans care ban executive order. I am working through specifically how it tries to do this, and will live tweet here section by section as I read through it.

It is not yet on the website, but has been released via press release.

A U.S.-Argentine trade deal is a scary proposition for citrus farmers. In 2017 Trump dropped a ban Argentine citrus imports that had been in place for 16 years. This allowed the import of millions of pounds of fruit (without tariffs).

While I’m thrilled people are finding ways to amplify important messages, this is yet another indication of the massive amount of power we have handed platforms & their algorithms. We can take it back.
The reason “cute winter boots” is taking off isn’t because it’s some secret code (the code has already been revealed and all of MAGA tiktok has made videos on it) it’s bc using product-focused language allows users to circumvent algorithmic downranking. They’re hijacking TikTok’s e-commerce push.
TikTok's 'cute winter boots' trend explained
As the U.S. government seeks to enact stricter controls over online speech, TikTok users are adopting more coded 'algospeak' to criticize and resist the government

A whole new medium for family memories. I love it! 👇
With my sons, tonight, we took a tour of the Minecraft map on which we were building from 2010 to 2019.

We found the work we'd built to pay tribute to Nelson Mandela's death: a lighthouse to guide the footsteps of the oppressed.

As a kid, I always wondered why I was so obsessed Star Wars. I always wondered why it was so important.

As an adult, I get it now. Star Wars at its core is a story about fighting authoritarianism.

Hegspeth is confirmed. Now What? He has no idea how to manage the Pentagon. So he is going to be dependent on his direct reports. Most of which require confirmation.

The Dems have to use whatever political skills they have to get qualified, rational people in these positions ?

Suggestions ?

Jawa’s guide for a healthy news diet:

- Get 20% of your news from sources with editorialized front pages
- Get 20% from algorithmically derived front pages
- Get 20% from news outlets foreign to you
- Get 20% from a source that’s ideologically opposite to your views
