“Is it okay for a social media platform to be an echo chamber” back in the day we had websites and websites were generally focused on a single topic and if you were into that topic you would visit that website and if you weren’t into that topic you just didn’t go on that website and it was fine

🚀 Update: Google approved my "shush" extension for Bluesky and it's now live on the Chrome Web Store. If any of you need to "shush" individual user's reposts (web app only), the extension is freely available here:

On Bluesky you can turn off all reposts, but not for specific users.
So, I just coded a Chrome extension that adds this feature to Bluesky. Now there's a "Shush" link on all reposts, and if you click it, all future reposts from that specific person will be removed.
