I've been designing a workshop. The deadline is generous, I can take my time.

Yesterday, I got an urgent call for training - I turned the process around in 24 hours. And you know what? I love that too!

Designing (and delivering) training is my happy place

Science "... is, instead, an attitude and a method. The attitude is that the world should be understood through observation and evidence, interpreted via hard thinking. The method involves formulating hypotheses and testing them against the facts."

Whenever someone says they want "free speech" ask them specific questions like:

What things do you want to be able to say freely without consequence?
Why haven't you been able to speak freely already and what limits on your speech exist currently?

Mary Pipher | Every day I remind myself that all over the world most people want peace. They want a safe place for their families, and they want to be good and do good. The world is filled with helpers. It is only the great darkness of this moment that can make it hard to see them.

"Here the numbers as they actually exist in the real world:

Transgender: 1 percent

Muslim: 1 percent

Jewish: 2 percent

Black: 12 percent

Live in New York City: 2 percent

Gay or lesbian: 3 percent"

If they're this divorced from reality I guarantee these folks cannot conceive magnitude of $1bn
“In 2022, YouGov asked “What percentage of Americans do you think are ___?”

The results were hilarious.

Trans: 21%
Muslim: 27%
Jewish: 30%
Black: 41%
Live in NYC: 30%
Gay or lesbian: 30%

The errors are off by orders of magnitude. The trans estimation by 2,000%.”
