Hawkins and Edwards at least played together at age grade and Hawkins at least gives you a bail out carrying option.

Sidenote: did we even use James as a direct carrying option at all yesterday? If you’re playing the baller & bruiser centre combo then surely you use the bruiser at some point?

This 6N starts for me in Rd3 vs Ireland. Our best chance to put in a good display away from home. Write off the first two games as we seek to have done this week

England join Japan as the only team not put 50 plus on Wales in the Tandy era….

Maybe England aren’t as good as everyone thinks? πŸ‘€

Horne basically had to score that as all he’s done since coming on is shout and slap which is very funny

So heartening to watch England celebrate so hard. Knowing they got out of jail there

Something to build on certainly for Wales for the rest of the tournament

Duncan Jones going to extreme lengths to avoid Wales’s car crash visit to Twickenham on Saturday by having a β€œfreak high impact collision” in training….

Reminder that "jaywalking" was literally made up by american car manufacturers to shift the blame for accidents from drivers to pedestrians. "Jay" was a slang term meaning "idiot" or "rube".
β€œJaywalking is permitted in London. In 1966, the police tried to crack down on it, but gave up after three months.”

People walk and cycle on roads by right, people drive under licence.

Jaywalking is not a thing in English law and Waymo must not change that.

Waymo’s cars were first rolled out in San Francisco, but the English capital’s old roads, pelican crossings and jaywalkers may pose issues for AI, says science and technology professor Jack Stilgoe

Feel like whatever variation of the above is on Saturday, it’s going to be hella boring. Effective? yes; inevitable? yes

And all soundtracked by shouty man Nick Mullins… sigh

Is this Tandy’s much vaunted β€œgame model”??

A phrase I can now only say in a Bridgend accent alongside Zammo and Franny after recent interviews

It massively has a Fra vs SA vibe to it from the Autumn (not in any quality stakes) in that Wales will score two really nice tries like France did and England will just build their way into it, pile on pressure through pack and kicking, leading to them scoring at will once we make a mistake like SA

Although watching Steward trying to chase down any Welsh player like he’s running in treacle is always a treat.

Anything under 30 point loss feels fine

Or a feeling of existential dread having to watch Blair Murray inexplicably continue to play fullback all tournament against all common decency and evidence
The Six Nations isn’t about form or predictions. It’s about history, memory, and standing on the shoulders of giants. John Robbie explains why this tournament still feels special.

Really great to see Zack Polanski talking about a public health approach to drugs on Kuenssberg this morning. The war on drugs failed a long time ago, it’s time to help people who need it, not criminalise them.
