anyone saying that art and the act of practicing/learning it is ableist (and thus AI should be ok for disabled people to use) can catch and instant block. not even worth arguing this. it's fucking not. you're just looking for a reason to justify your AI use to generate slop

What can one do when the timeline sucks but bake cookies. These are cinnamon roll-ups from Sarah Kieffer’s 100 Cookies. These are a shortbread style cookie. You can glaze them but they are sweet enough. So I’m not going to. #bakesky #baking

I started working on this drawing half a year ago as a part of the #BirdWhisperer challenge, but I got very busy around that time and only finished it recently. It is far too late for the official posting date, but I am glad I completed this one!

One of my larger flower watercolours, done without body colour and featuring my most painted green glass jug (which is very old and leaking slightly from the handle. I'll get it to make a guest appearance in a new painting this year.

Here’s the lembas bread I’m baking for my son for his birthday. He is a LOTR nerd (as am I), and he also got a hardcover edition of The Hobbit per his request. It’s great to share interests with all my kids, and each one overlaps my interests in some way. #baking #bakesky #LOTR

Occasionally we get tiny Goldcrests in the garden, hunting for insects amongst the evergreens. They’re resident in Britain, but some Goldcrests cross the North Sea to escape the harsher continental winters; people used to believe they rode on the backs of migrating Woodcocks. (watercolour)

A photo of this watercolour in situ with the vase of flowers (which was rotated so doesn't show the side viewed in the painting). I'll have a look for a clear photo of just the painting on other hard drives because I can't find one at the moment. Sold to a friend. #watercolour #botanical

Just one more pastel flower painting for now. A carnation and freesia painting with a couple of anenomes and some ivy plus a shell that has been in several artworks. This one dates from the millenium and is on someone else's wall. See alt txt.

Studio is reasonably clean after I tidied away all the things from holiday cardmaking. I was not inspired before because we had a long cold snap and it was pretty frigid down here. Ready to make some art now though. 🎨
