New work - not quite finished but soon.
With words by Louisa May Alcott.

I love greens, purples and whites together.
Roll on bluebells, stitchwort and spring.

I've not been on here much this week. A long, stressful week.

But in that time I've seen so many signs of Spring arriving. Including a huge Blackthorn tree in full bloom.

It is coming. And I love it.

Four of my 'deep peace' paintings.
The animals are painted in watercolours.
The gold is Schmincke Aqua Bronze. This can be tricky to work with but really elevates everything.
Words from the Gaelic Blessing.

Shakespeare, as ever, saying exactly what is important to me.
Let's go hand in hand, not one before the other.

I would add to that, let's raise others up. Let's support our friends. #womensart

I've not seen a Bullfinch here for ages.
But the buds are on the fruit trees and my hopes are high that they may just come and feed here again soon.

I've just had these two pictures made into greetings cards.

Foxes and swallows.
A watercolour painting finished on Saturday night. And I hope, a new Mother's Day card for March.
A vixen does incredible work. Somehow feeding and coping with these scallywags.
So few make it through their first year. She is amazing to me.

With words from either Alice in Wonderland or an Alice related production. But not mine!

'This is my dream. I'll decide where to go from here.'

“I will soothe you and heal you, I will bring you roses.
I too have been covered with thorns.” Rumi

And I love these words. Love the thought animals co-existing together. Also love weaving ferns into my paintings.

A little step may be the beginning of a great journey.
Author unknown.

And a reminder that spring and flowers are closer than they have been every single day.

I've never owned a grey horse. But did fall in love with one once.
The temptation is to describe them as white. But if you paint or draw one, you understand better why they are called grey.
Also if you've brushed one after they've rolled.....

Never one to love a NYE celebration - I'm instead off to cuddle my hot water bottle and have a good sleep.
And dream a little of the full moons we'll see in 2026 - including the extra one in May.
Thank you for all your support here in these blue skies.

Those we love don’t go away they walk beside us every day.
Unseen, unheard but always near.
Still loved, still missed and very dear.

This can be such a hard time of year.
A huge hug to you if you need it, whatever the reason.

I HEARD A BIRD SING BY OLIVER HERFORD

I heard a bird sing
In the dark of December
A magical thing
And sweet to remember.
“We are nearer to Spring
Than we are in September,”
I heard a bird sing
In the dark of December

With words attributed to Victor Hugo.

The sun will rise, the days will get longer, the light will return.
I LOVE the winter solstice - the summer solstice fills me with sadness. The Winter solstice fills me with hope.

Hello grey December day with very little light and heavy rain forecast.
I offer you sunflowers instead.
And may you return to my world very soon.

Art is very important to me.
But it’s not everything.
Other things are way more important.
This boy is one of those things.

Timeline cleanse. Love.

Some bright reds and oranges today.
I hope they light up your timeline with some colour and love.

Life is a balance between holding on and letting go. Rumi

And another of my paintings where as a lifetime dog owner who has never had a cat, I put myself through the ringer hoping I'd captured the essence of a cat and not just a painting of one.

It's one of my cards.....
